popcat Casino & Sportsbook Data Care
This page describes what we collect when you use popcat and how we keep that data protected. We at popcat take data privacy seriously because your personal information — email, phone number, government ID, payment details, and betting history — is essential to operating our platform securely and complying with local law. We do not sell your data to third parties, and we encrypt all sensitive information in transit and at rest.
Our popcat platform serves users across Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, Medan, Semarang, and other supported regions, accepting deposits via DANA, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, online payment, e-wallet, and bank transfers (mobile banking, local payment, online payment, e-wallet). Each of these payment methods requires us to collect and store certain personal and financial details to prevent fraud, comply with anti-money-laundering regulations, and process withdrawals accurately. This privacy policy explains exactly what we collect, how long we keep it, who can access it, and what rights you have over your information.
We encourage you to read this page carefully and contact our support team if you have questions about how we handle your data. Your privacy is your right, and we stand behind our commitments to protect it.
What we collect and why
We collect information in three categories: account setup, identity verification, and transaction history. When you register a popcat account, we ask for your email address or phone number and your chosen password. This information is used solely to authenticate your access and send you account notifications (password resets, deposit confirmations, withdrawal status).
For identity verification, we require a government-issued ID photograph, a selfie holding that ID, and proof of your payment method (e.g., a bank account screenshot or e-wallet account name). We collect this information to comply with Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations, which are mandatory in most jurisdictions where we operate. KYC prevents fraud, money laundering, and underage access to our platform. We store these documents in encrypted form, separate from your gaming history, so your personal identification data is isolated from your betting activity.
We also log every transaction: deposits, withdrawals, game plays, and balance changes. This transaction history is kept in your account statement and helps us track your account activity, process your withdrawal requests, and investigate disputes. We retain transaction logs for a minimum of seven years to comply with financial regulations, even after you close your account.
How we use your data on popcat
Your data serves specific purposes: authentication (logging you in), verification (KYC compliance), transactions (processing deposits and withdrawals), and fraud prevention (detecting suspicious activity). We also use anonymized, aggregated data to improve the popcat platform — for example, tracking which games are most popular across all users or monitoring server performance. This aggregated analysis does not identify you personally.
We do not use your data for marketing without your explicit consent. We do not sell your email address to third-party advertisers, and we do not share your gaming history with external companies. Your data remains within popcat's systems, with limited access granted only to our support, compliance, and engineering teams — all of whom are bound by confidentiality agreements.
Third-party processors and data location
Our popcat servers may be located outside your jurisdiction (Indonesia). When your data is transmitted to or stored outside Indonesia, we use encryption to protect it in transit. Payment processors (the companies handling BCA, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment transfers) may also access your banking details as necessary to process deposits and withdrawals. These processors are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for payment processing.
We use third-party services for email delivery (account notifications), cloud storage (encrypted backups), and analytics (server performance monitoring). All third-party processors are vetted for data security compliance before we engage them. We do not allow these processors to use your data for their own purposes — they act only on our instructions.
We at popcat keep your personal data in encrypted storage, limit access to verified staff, and comply with data-protection laws in every jurisdiction where we operate.
Cookies and tracking on popcat
Our popcat website and app use cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve your experience. Session cookies remember your login state so you do not have to enter your password repeatedly during a single visit. These cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies may track your preferences (language, theme) or remember you for up to 30 days if you choose "Remember me" at login.
We use analytics cookies (via services like Google Analytics) to understand how users navigate popcat — which pages are popular, how long sessions last, where users drop off. These analytics are anonymized and do not identify you personally. You can opt out of analytics cookies by adjusting your browser privacy settings or using a do-not-track extension. Declining these cookies does not affect your ability to play on popcat.
Your rights and our commitments
We at popcat commit to the following data protections: (1) We do not share your data with third parties without your consent, except as required by law enforcement or court order. (2) We do not retain your data longer than necessary — most account data is kept for the duration of your account plus seven years for transaction logs. (3) We encrypt sensitive information (passwords, bank details, payment proofs) using industry-standard encryption. (4) We conduct security audits regularly and maintain firewalls, access controls, and encryption protocols to prevent unauthorized access.
Your rights as a popcat user include: the right to access a copy of the personal data we hold about you; the right to correct inaccurate information (e.g., if your registered phone number has changed); the right to request deletion of your account and associated data (subject to legal retention requirements); and the right to opt out of non-essential processing (such as analytics cookies). To exercise these rights, contact our support team via in-app chat or email at our contact details below.
If you believe popcat has mishandled your data or violated your privacy rights, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority or telecommunications regulator. If you are in Indonesia, you can contact the Indonesian government's data protection office or your provincial telecommunications authority. We encourage you to raise concerns with us first so we can resolve them quickly.
Data retention and account closure
When you close your popcat account, we delete your personal data (email, phone, KYC documents) after 90 days, unless you have an active withdrawal request or outstanding dispute. Your transaction history and balance records are retained for seven years to comply with financial regulations — this period applies regardless of whether your account is active or closed.
If you request account deletion before the 90-day period expires, we expedite the process. However, we cannot delete transaction records before the seven-year retention period expires if doing so would violate financial law in your jurisdiction or ours. Once the retention period ends, all transaction logs are permanently deleted from popcat's servers.
Changes to this policy and contact
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. If we make material changes (such as adding new data processors or changing how we use your data), we will notify you via email and give you 30 days to review the new terms. Continuing to use popcat after the 30-day notice period constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
If you have questions about this privacy policy or want to exercise your rights, contact popcat support during business hours (08:00–21:00 Jakarta time, daily) via in-app chat or email. We respond to privacy requests within seven business days. Our data protection team reviews all requests and will provide you with the information or changes you request, subject to legal obligations and the retention periods described above.
